THE FORGOTTEN: ROADTRIP

Unlike photographic memory, human memory distorts, forgets and is marked by strong personal emotions. Individual experiences project metaphors of associations to create new meaning that is understood by its creator. A memory of a certain event is selective, retaining some information while eliminating others. Human memory is like smoked glass, acting as a visual filter to produce new personal insights by eliminating details, and accentuating emotion. What we remember is what remains when everything else is forgotten.
